Open indoor public spaces in NYC?

I was going to host a picnic tomorrow, but the weather says it’s going to “thunderstorm”. My plan would’ve been to push the picnic to next Saturday, but something in me is fighting to not make the notice to my guests. I keep thinking the weather -will- change last minute to sunny, like it’s been doing lately. If it happens to do this after I postpone my picnic, I know I’m going to really regret it.

I’m having at -least- 30 in attendance. Some of the people were going to make food (I’ve told them to hold off any cooking until I give them notice).

Are there any places in the city that have free, open public indoor spaces? That WILL let you bring and eat outside food? Preferably within Manhattan, or too far into Brooklyn/Queens.

The only place I was able to think of was the Sony Wonder building, but as far as I know they have food restrictions…

Please help!

Only place you could bring outside food is Rockfeller Center, which has indoor cafe underground. There are lots of tables available at Rockfeller Center.

Entrances are :
Via elevator at 49th & 50th Sts between 5th & 6th Avs.
On Rockfeller Plaza bet. 48th & 49th Sts, on rightside of Nintendo World, there is building with stairs/escalator heading downstair.
You could also enter directly from 50th St exit of 47th-50th Sts Subway Station.
