For a fellow like me, who is not the most convenient when it comes to do it yourself projects, lean to shed plans are vital because with them even I can build a respectable lean to shed and at a very fair cost. In this article I glance at the three reasons why a lean to shed might be just the thing for you.

Reason 1 – Cost

The very first thing to recollect is that your lean to shed only has three sides, so it is going to be less expensive than a regular four sided shed. The uses to which you put your lean to shed such as providing a shelter for cattle or storing firewood means that you don’t need to be too nervous about how pleasing it is.

For this reason you may use free lumber and used lumber as the cattle actually will not mind. And the natural in built ventilation due to the three sides means that you’re going to help stop illness spreading from animal to animal and if you’re using it for firewood storage or seasoning then your firewood will dry out faster.

Reason 2 – You have two selections of lean to shed.

You may have your lean to shed up against a building like your place, in which particular case you will be more worried about how it appears to be, or you may have it free standing for the protection of animals where you have no such concerns.

Reason 3 – Free and Recycled Materials

In numerous examples you may use free or recycled materials and lumber lying around. You can also use pallets for your floor just to make certain that whatever you are storing is kept off the ground and dry. With the free standing one in a field for livestock you needn’t be too nervous about the floor. I am sure the stock will not mind either.
